British Open Style Course, Feb 25, 2005

This course is sneaky long. From first glance, it looks pretty wide open and straight forward. After one run in with the sage brush rough however, you begin to feel the fairways shrink. Although the course is long, it's not uncommon to gain 12 to 15 yards per club because of the 6300 feet of elevation. Beware of the wind. Gusts of 20 to 30 miles per hour are not uncommon. This course is the best value in the state. If you want to play a tour style course and one that would be a value at triple the fees then don't miss this gem.

Bass Rocks in my opinion is an ideal kind of golf course. Every time you play is different. The winds off the ocean can be a help at times. However, other times it can play havoc with your game. The course forces you to play almost every kind of shot there is. From high flops to knock downs, it will test your game. The staff is second to none. Friendly and always willing to offer a tip or two that will help make your round more enjoyable. The members make you feel right at home. Like they have known you for years, even if you just met. In my personal opinion, every town should have a club like Bass Rocks.

East Liverpool Country Club
"Links Course"
The East Liverpoool Country Club is a nine hole course. It features a links style course that has elevated greens on eight of the nine holes. Wooded areas and strategically placed bunkers add to the beauty and challange of the course. The entire course is served by an automatic watering system. The undulating greens can provide interesting pin placemets. The ninth and eighteenth holes are served by two different greens.
