great for the money, Oct 29, 2004

Had a few friends come up to play and we played a late Friday afternnon round. Basically, for the price it was an excellent experience. The greens were in excellent shape; narrow fairways which were tended well, and the pace was decent even with groups ahead. Will definitely play again.

Of all the courses I played in Brevard County I truly believe Turtle Creek was the most challanging. I am not saying it was the hardest or longest, just a challange. This is a FUN course to play. If you are ever in Central Florida you might look up this course. Located right off of Interstate 95 and the Rockledge exit. Swing em hard but be sure to hit them straight when you play here. Good Luck.

"Descent Course"
It's a descent course. Tiger learned how to play here. But there's a lot of water, so if you hook and slice, be prepared with extra balls.

Chalet Hills Golf Club
"Challenging but Fair"
If you play the course right you will have to use every club in your bag. Variety of holes, no two are alike. Trees, bunkers, water, doglegs and hills, this course has it all. Beginners with a wild driver will have some trouble but will not have to hit over obstacles except for two greens surrounded by water. Staff is great and course is getting in better shape each year.

Lake Wilderness Golf Course
"Good targeted golf layout"
Likes: This is a good test of any golfers skill. It requires you to think and plan from the tee. Golfers who like to pull out "The Big Dog" and grip it and rip it on every hole will not like this course. The course forces you to play smart to score well. There are risk/reward holes worth the gamble, and others that attempt to sucker you. If you play smart you can score well at Lake Wilderness. If not, it may be a long day. This is a shorter course. The clubhouse has good food and good beer. Dislikes: Only one really. I don't care for holes where there are houses close. This course has a handful of them.

Oak Hill Golf Course
"Looks closed"
A challenging little executive course. However, when last seen on 02/10/2004, the gates were not open and the course looked to be not recntly maintined. We will miss it.
