This course's front nine is narrow, while its back nine is wide open. Since the terrain is somewhat hilly you can expect many up and downhill lies. Water hazards (lakes) come into play on five to seven holes, including the signature hole, #17, a 145-yard, par 3, requiring a carry over a lake on the tee shot.

| I'm on a high school golf team from Trion, GA (about 36 miles north from Rome) and we played a match there and it was the best course I have ever played. I have been on a lot of courses but none like this. There is a beutiful veiw from the hilltop clubhouse and the course just plays so well. I shot my all time low there, 38 |

| The front nine is very tight and alot of o.b. The back nine is very wide open it's two different courses in one.All of the greens are elevated and very fast.I am a member here and for the money it's a very challenging course It's very awarding and very frustrating at the same time, like I said two courses in one. |
