This eighteen hole course is a links-style design with a wealth of water affecting fifteen of the eighteen holes. The water hazards consist of ponds, lakes, streams and a sixty-five acre lake. The club rates itself the "best in the Chicago area." The course is easily walkable. On a typical Saturday the pace is leisurely, usually taking about 4 1/2 hours to complete eighteen holes. The signature hole is #14, a 195-yard, par 3, which requires a shot from an elevated tee that sits 200 feet above the green. This is an incredibly beautiful hole. Overall, the course is undulating and has a lot of mounding, which is atypical for the region. The staff on this course takes pride in providing a "friendly" atmosphere.

We're not in "Chicago" anymore!, Feb 13, 2004
reviewer: Todd from Olympia Fields, IL
I play alot of high-end golf courses and this was as fun as I have had for the price I paid. The layout was very memorable and fun to play. The greens were lightning fast and is comparable to many great country club greens. I played horrible there but I enjoyed the experience. The staff was very polite and friendly from the time I got out of my car to when I had a conversation with the Chef who cooked me my steak the way I wanted it. See you in 2004!
