Woodside Meadows Golf Course

20820 InkSter Rd
Romulus, MI 48174
Phone: (734)782-5136

This course was built on flat terrain, but has many trees that can alter your shots. Water hazards (five ponds) come into play on five holes and streams bisect the fairways on six others. Most of the greens are small, undulating, and well bunkered. A difficult hole is #3, a 509-yard, par 5, featuring a dogleg left fairway that adds a two-stroke penalty for those who cut the corner. Handicaps are not listed on the scorecard.

Drive by wood-side (and keep on going...), May 01, 2006

The best way to describe Woodside Meadows is an exaderated/extended par 3 golf course. Once a par 3 course you can see the courses faults once you get out of your car!! If you look hard enough you may be able to see the greens (they are terribly small). One time I missed a putt by 3 ft. and wound up on the fairway, YIKES!!! The good old #10 is a par 4 231yd. hole. If your ball stryes 10 feet to the right you might cause an automobile accident because it will land on Inkster rd. into oncoming traffic. The best part about Woodside is the 19th hole where you can forget about a miserable round in the 120's and courouse with some locals. Overall, they should pay you to play here because anything else is a complete rip-off... STAY AWAY!!!

It has very small greens, and it is a bit overpriced @ $25

Home of the world's smallest greens, Apr 18, 2006
reviewer: Moonball Jonny from Livonia, MI
A great motto for Woodside Meadows would go like this... "If all else fails than Woodside prevails" Reason being is that WM (Woodside Meadows) is home of the world smallest greens (as referred to by most downriver yocals) Any who, $20 is only for the "early-bird special" now the fees are from $25 - $35 for 18 with a cart. I try not to golf here at all possible, but sometimes it is the only course with tee times available...The course grounds definitely need some work, the fairways are constantly torn up and the 5 sand traps on the course hardly present a challenge. Speaking of challenges lets talk trees and shrubbery. They seem to be relentless on most parts of the course. Like the previous guy posted if you can't hit strait forget about it. My pal calls this train wreck of a course his home course but averaging 123 plus change, strokes per/18 I would be motivated to find a new home. Woodside Meadows terrain is as flat as my Ex-girlfriends chest, also the clubhouse attracts the local drunks as early as 7am in the summertime (talk about a drinking problem!!!) Overall my best advise is pay the extra few bucks and golf at a real course, not some glorified par 3. It's funny to me why they decided to leave the greens alone when the transformed WM, I once had a two foot tap in from off the fringe, you figure that one out. Taylor rules......

Good little local course, Sep 03, 2004
reviewer: Robert Munoz from Brownstown, MI
If you are expecting Oakland Hills for $20, then you need to go somewhere else. The once par 3 course has been stretched into a respectable par 68. Challenges lie all over the course and you will fare well if you can hit the ball straight on a regular basis (which I can't do!). The grounds are well kept and the clubhouse has a good atmosphere. I would not drive an hour to play here, but since I live 3 minutes away, I play the course often. Tee times are usually available, even at the last minute (except during league play). Free cart Fridays are a great deal. This course is a good, inexpensive course.
