This course is owned by the Lemon Bay Club, which is located in nearby Englewood. The club gets its name from the neighboring wetlands, and features relatively flat terrain. Wide fairways and large greens combine to make this course very "golfer-friendly." Local golfers state that the layout offers a challenge, yet does not "beat you up." From November through April, the course is closed to public play before 1 PM. The 6,061-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 74.3 and slope of 125.
