This narrow course can be very demanding for the average golfer. There are either water hazards or out-of-bounds stakes coming into play on almost every hole. This club, originally founded in 1856, has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S., and "GOLF Magazine" named it to its 1995 list of the "First 100 Clubs in America."

Overall Germania is an excellent golf club. The course is challenging, the members are courteous, and the staff is incredibly kind and always there to help (especially those working in the pro shop). I would have to say that Germania is an very underrated club.

"New golfer playing late afternoon"
Have played over 15 times in last two months. Newer player and have had a great time playing. The staff is the best.......... I play after 3:00 pm Jan-Mar. Iron only driving range and good putting green. I have been able to build up for my handycap.

"WOW, WHAT A COURSE!!!!!!!"
I have never putted on such undulating greens in my life, this course gave me fits.... I had never played here so I didnt know what I was in for, really tough course if your not familiar with it.... I crushed a drive on one hole, dont rememeber which one but I thought I hit at least a 300yd drive, well I did but it landed in a pond on the other side of a sloping fairway. Never knew the the water was there.... you cant see it from the tee box... (very sneaky). just one of the great holes on this gem....if you want some putting practice, then this your course.... go for it....

La Vista Golf Course
"New Name for La Vista Golf Course"
The new name for La Vista Golf Course in Wichita Falls, Texas is HAWK RIDGE GOLF COURSE. This course has undergone extensive improvements the last year and one half. The improvements made have made this into one of the best courses in this area. While I rated it as 3 stars, it could very well be on its way to being rated much higher.
