This course's greens are fast and sloped. The fairways are wide and contain a lot of bunkers and ponds. Hole #18 is a par 4 with a pond located behind the green. This course offers enough variety to challenge the most experience golfer, so be prepared to use every club in your bag.

This course is on the shorter side for a par 72. However, some longer par 4's and medium par 5's do exist. All of the par 3's are short, but by no means boring. The front nine is open with some water and elevation changes. The back nine is heavily wooded, very tight, and somewhat hilly. It's one of the best courses and facilities in this area.

TimberStone Golf Course
"Worth the trip"
This course is easily the best course I have played. It's on a par with Blackwolf Run and the other Kohler courses at a fraction of the price. This course has a spectacular setting. It winds up and around Iron Mountain, and is a marvel of course design. Despite the elevation changes, only one hole plays uphill. The holes are cut out of the mountain side and winding cart paths take you to the next level, and hole, until you reach numbers 9 and 17, both of which play straight downhill (as does 18, a 600 yard par five with 3 terraced fairways). The grooming is immaculate and each hole is separated from the others by woods or water. Even on a busy day it feels like you're the only golfers on the course. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course is nicely rangered. As you play the course, you will marvel both at the quality of the experience and the incredible engineering required during construction. Rates have been in the $50-60 range for the past several years and its the best golf bargain you can find. This is a course you could play every day and it would remain interesting. The fairways and greens compare with any PGA site. This is one not to miss.

"Fun, yet challenging for any level golfer..."
The course will grow on you. The first time I played it, the course kicked my hind-parts. Every hole has a different look and challenge. The fairways and greens are always in great shape, even though they don't overseed in the cold months. Because the course sits high, even though it was built on wetlands, there is always wind, and therefore a challenge. The course will beckon you back time and again. Very nice play and good staff.

Found course to be very challenging. Greens were the best I have ever played on. Some areas on course under repair with new irrigation system, but that will only improve the fairways. Look forward to playing the course in the future.
