This course was built on rolling terrain and has tree-lined fairways. The large greens are undulating, and water hazards come into play on six holes. "Golf Digest" rated this 93rd out of "America's 100 Greatest Courses" for 1995-96, and 96th best for 1997-98. They also rated it as the 2nd "Best in State" course for the years 1995 through 1998. "GOLFWEEK" selected it 78th among "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 1998 and 81st for 1999.

Tough course with beautiful setup and greens, May 29, 2007

The new greens roll magnificently true, I've worked there 6 years and this is the best I've seen the place looking. You have to make smart accurate shots or you will be seriously punished. The rough in August is incredibly long. I'd say the greens are running at least a 12 even after 3 days of rain

Unbelievable in it's set up. You have to think your way around this course while avoiding the deep rough. Once you reach the greens, get ready for a long put. Large greens regularly over 11 on the stimp.

"Great course for the aveage golfer"
This is a first rate facility for any golfer. A great putting green and practice area. The course is an intersting yet very playable for the average golfer and a challange from the tips for the better player. Good tee shots are a must. You can get into trouble with an errant tee shot on some of the holes. The greens are interesting. Some are multi layered and were in great condition the last time I played there.

golf at raymondville g&cc, is truly an unforgettable experience. the greens are well watered and the bent grass is excellent.there are many challenging holes., the first tee to green is a whopping par 5.with water about 180 yds left.towering trees protect right side, so u must hit a high drive to clear trees. then u have decent chance to get a birdie.7,8 and 9 are long long drives. clubhouse is fantastic
