This course is wide open on the front nine and narrow on the back nine. There is a pond that must be carried on holes #2, 7, 8 and 10. A stream also crosses in front of the tee and must be crossed on hole #15, a 378-yard, par 4. Another tricky hole is #17, a 379-yard, par 4, which features a sharp dogleg left fairway and a well-bunkered green.

Pleasent to play, Nov 13, 2004

This is a compact 18 hole course and fun to play. The fairways are rolling with raised Tees and Greens. The course is well manicured and maintained, the greens small and challenging. I can�t wait to play this course again.

"Totally worth it!"
For the price they ask, it's totally worth it! It's a great course! There may not be that many trees, but I noticed a few projects that looked like they were working on it, and there is still plenty of beauty surrounding it. Water hazards made it challenging, but all the more fun. Very well kept! The maintenance crew must work hard!

Desert Hills Golf Club
"What a golf course should be."
I have played this private course 5-6 times since 1992 and have enjoyed it every time. Recently I played as a guest in a small tournament and the course was in excellent condition. There are 8 other courses in this retirement community, several owned and managed by large course management groups, but they are not in the same class as this one as far as quality is concerned. There are few if any divots on the greens, all players seem to be very conscious of divot repair on the entire course, including the rough, facilities are clean and fresh, clubhouse is pleasant and modern and the staff is great. I have just joined and am thrilled to death with a life-time membership to look forward to!

"Old design, classic challenge!"
An older golf course, it has a great appeal. Well maintained course with tight fairways leaving little margin of error. Challenging greens with quick roll most of the season. I'd recommend this course to any serious, experienced golfer. May be a little too much for the beginner.
