Pleasant Hills Golf Course - The Pleasant Hills Course

This facility has both a regulation eighteen hole course and an eighteen hole par 3 course. The Pleasant Hills Course is a mature, tree-lined course featuring fast greens and narrow fairways. Water hazards come into play on many of the well-bunkered holes. The Par 3 Cypress Greens Course can be quite demanding because of its tight fairways.

Poor Course, Apr 01, 2004 |

| Today, my father and I headed out to play a round together. We had been waiting all week long for a pretty day like this. It was all ruined. This course is the most unkept, unruly course around. We were walking and were cathcing up on a group of three who had power carts. These guys were riding all over the greens and the tee boxes. We called the pro shop (which should be bulldozed down) three different times before a "marshall" came to warn them. The "marshall" was a desk worker who obviously doesn't follow the game of golf, and asked them to stop riding on the greens. After four holes, with greens containing above-ground sprinklers (YES!) we called and asked for a refund of the money poorly spent. They refunded the money and appologized politely. I would not wish this course on my worst enemy. Spend a couple more dollars and go to San Jose Muni! |

| The Cypress is a great course for biginners and those wanting to just brush up on a course. Being all par three, you do not need more than a 7 iron. It is very inexpensive but then again, you get what you pay for. The holes will sometimes befilled with water and the greeens full of mud. But it can be good relaxing fun. |
