Santa Teresa Golf Club - Eighteen Hole Regulation Course

Phone: (408)225-2650Fax: (408)226-9598

This facility has an eighteen hole regulation course and a nine hole par 3 course. The eighteen hole course has both flat and undulating greens. Water comes into play on two holes, and there's only a few sand bunkers on the course. Robert Muir Graves redesigned the Eighteen Hole Course in 1982. The Nine Hole Course opened in January, 1996. The greens are fast and very well manicured. There are three lakes that come into play on six holes. The surrounding area of the course has mature trees and is a very serene and relaxing setting, according to locals. The green fees shown are good for all-day play.

THIS COURSE ROCKS THE BOAT IF YOU JKNOW WHAT I MEAN. DRUNK GOLF IS THE BEST EVER AT THIS COURSE BECAUSE THEY ALLOW YOU TO BUY AS MANY BEERS AS YOU WISH. I ONCE HAD A DOG NAMMED SHEPPY THAT WAS OUT GOLFING, AND HIT PAR ON THE EXECUTIVE COURSE... ACCUALLY I LIED, DOGS CANT EVEN PLAY GOLF, THEY DONT HAVE APPOSABLE THUMBS.

This course has changed over the years....for the better. The course is always in good shape. The greens are well cared for and are very fair to the average player. I would recommend this course for the player who is looking for a wide open course. Santa Teresa is not one of the most challenging courses in the area, but again is a fair course.

Pretty course great for novice and more advanced, Jul 13, 2004
reviewer: Dave G. from San Jose, CA
The front nine is mostly flat and circles the beautiful southern San Jose mountain valley. Not too tough for the beginner and requires some thoughtful shot placement for the intermediate golfer. The back nine travels up into a very pretty mountain area with overlooking tees as well as some tricky climbing holes. If you are out of shape, take a cart. These holes offer a bit more challenge than the front. The course has a very nice 9 hole pitch and putt course which is ideal for teaching kids. The practice area is also handily located next to the clubhouse. Play can be very slow on a weekend so get out early. Also, it can be tough to get a tee time so call early. They have been steadily raising the green fees, and I am finding $54 with no cart on a weekend to be a little pricey, but it is still the cheapest in the South Bay area. If you want better prices, go to the East Bay courses.
