Short , narrow and open for play, Mar 08, 2004

This little used course is a gem for anyone who can get on it. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and it presents golfers with well maintained narrow fairways. Accuracy is rewarded more than distance on this 5,890 yard par 70 course. The views of the Pacific ocean and the coastal mountains are outstanding. The practice facilities are excellent.

Perry Golf & Country Club
"Best kept secret in central Iowa"
With rolling hills and mature trees, Perry G&CC is an aesthetically pleasing, yet challenging course. A beautiful pond surrounded by wildflowers is in play on the # 2 and 3 holes. Greens are in fine shape and medium fast. Accuracy off the tee is important because of the trees and some uneven lies. Although it is a private club, green fees for non-residents are easily accessible and very affordable. Carts available. The clubhouse staff is friendly and accommodating. Well worth your time and money.

"Ballwin shouldn't be ignored!"
I play this course regularly on a ladies league. It is consistently in great shape, with very challenging greens. The greens are typically in fantastic shape--better than The Bluffs by far! The pro, Dave is knowledgable and great for lessons for both beginners and those wanting to improve. I believe the only 'problem' is for the men following the ladies on their league days--we're trying to pick up our speed. You'll enjoy the challenges of the water(there is a creek/water on 7 of the 9 holes) and sand traps.

I have played on this course many times, the atmosphere of the course is very relaxing, unlike most golf coursesthe tenats are friendly, and the traffic is light. The People are very helpful, and the course allows golfers that are not yet at the best part of their game.
