This club offers a regulation eighteen hole course and an eighteen hole executive course. Both courses are very challenging. There are many sand bunkers throughout the courses, and the greens are fast. The fairways are narrow and feature a few oak trees that can alter your shots. Guests are not permitted to wear metal spikes on the course.

Lost money on this course too. If your're having a bad day on the tee, you may hit a house. Lots of trees, well maintained but can be very "slow play" while local members talk about their grandchildren. In general a well maintained course and a good day out.

"Dutch"
A tremendous couse in a beautiful mountain setting, especially in September and October when in full fall foliage, the afternoon temperatures in the low 70's and the skies so blue the horizon lines become razor sharp. The back nine challange you with mountain streams, blind doglegs, an occasional buck jumping from a creek bed and or lofty tee boxes daring you to choose a loftier iron for dropping it between the aspens and the traps.... Not too many courses in the world offer better views, thinner air for longer drives, or nicer people to pamper your needs. July through mid October is prime... take plenty of time and the closest of friends, I guarantee you a memorable experiance and a challanging round!

I have lived in Athens for 6 years and have played many golf courses in the area. Lane Creek has been one of my favorites. Its a great place for tournaments and daily play, The staff is welcoming and the course is always in good shape.

Knollwood Golf Course
"A womans point of preference"
Very challenging course for women. Men are impressed with women who can hit stright drives and consistant fairway shots onto the green. Men have a problem at Knollwood because of their ego gets the better of them.
