This course is very flat compared to others in Western Pennsylvania. There are three lakes that come into play on five holes. The fairways are lined with trees, and almost all the greens are well bunkered. It is an ideal course to walk.

| The course is beautiful and relatively open. Some of the courses are a bit too close together: other people would lose balls on the course we'd be playing. Some of the lawns are a bit dried out, though the green and fairway are very well maintained. However, the service we received was mixed. We had made a reservation for 4 people and had asked for an opening behind us (2 of the 4 of us were novices). The woman on the phone said it wasn't a problem. When we arrived the next day, the receptionist said that she didn't know of any arrangement like that and that we should come back at 6pm (it was 2pm). She loudly told the next person in line that people like us shouldn't be coming to this golf course, that we should only go to par 3s and most importantly, not waste her time. The next person in line commented that we were nearby and could probably hear her comments. She responded, "I know." This is pretty awful behavior in general, though it may not be the typical case.... |

Nice Course, Good Value, Aug 01, 2004 |

| Another of the great values in Western Pennsylvania, Buffalo is a perfect place to challenge yourself without pulling your hair out. Conditioning is generally quite good, although drainage in some areas definitely needs improvement. Nonetheless, most holes are interesting, and it plays reasonably easy, as long as you are shooting fairly straight. Highlights, for me, are the long Par 5 at #6 and the Par 3 at #17 (a real challenge, especially if the pin is placed on the right, towards the back of the green). This one is definitely worth a look. |

| This is truly a great local Pittsburgh course. Well maintained and managed with interesting hole design. Not too long for the average or young golfer and just a fine course to develop your game. One of several fine, local courses which has a long family run tradition of keeping the game as it should be for all to enjoy. |
