This facility offers two eighteen hole courses. The Orange Course has small greens. Water hazards (a lake and a creek) come into play on seven holes. The Blue Course has straight forward fairways with a few sand bunkers. A pond comes into play on two holes.

For less than $20, this course is all you could ask for. The first few holes are straight and pretty wide open. However, you start with a long par five and then go to a 3 with water in front. The remainder of the course winds its way through the existing landscape. Holes that are wide open are subject to the strong winds across the farm fields. Club selection is not as easy as one may think. The grounds crew does an acceptable job of maintaining the course as a whole. People playing this course are not looking for TPC quality, but it does offer a challenging afternoon of 18.

A medium difficult course with variable slopes,and hill sides with a different lie angle on nearly every shot. Large undulating greens with good speed. The greens are near perfect right now but that doesn't mean they're a push over. Making it one the green is only the start. A challenge.

Gibson Woods Golf Course

Gibson Woods is a challenging public golf course in Monmouth, IL. It is a mature course that challenges the golfer to play the fairway on most holes. The course features lots of trees, some water, and some elevated greens. The course favors the accurate golfer more than the long ball hitter. Although an accurate long ball hitter will consistently score well here. The course is very well maintained, has a driving range, and is generally only crowded on weekends.

"Great afforbable challenging course"
Narrow fairways with many doglegs. One must be accurate off the tea and have great touch around the greens. Great layout that will challenge even the best golfers. Very cheap green fees and a good staff to help you enjoy yourself.
