This fairly narrow course has tree-lined fairways bordered by a defined cut of rough. The large greens are slightly sloped and have medium speed, and the terrain is hilly. There are some beautiful views of the covered bridge between holes #11 and #13. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 3rd "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996, and they also rated it as the 7th "Best in State" course for 1995-96. The 5,943-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 74.7 and a slope of 126.

the covered bridge can be seen on holes 2,5,and 6. the bridge cannot be seen on holes 11 and 13. they are on the oppisite side of the course. also the fairways are not bent grass they are zosia. This false information really makes me question this whole website.

This is a great course. the fairways are generous and fairly wide at times. Tho the rough can be punishing. The greens are medium to fast, and putt very true. Fuzzy has a great course, but a little expensive for the average golfer at 70.00.

Twin Hills Golf Course
"Well conditioned and fun to play"
I have a 6 cap and play all the courses in our area. I belong to a private club but still enjoy a round of golf at Twin Hills. The course is short for most big hitters, but still has plenty of trouble. You will find beautiful fairways and greens throughout the year. The speed of play will be around 4 hours for 18. I don't think there are too many courses that have the quality of golf and conditions that Twin Hills offers for the price. It is well worth the time to play here.

Laguna Lake Golf Course
"Not Fancy, But Fun!"
A tricky little course, designed by someone that knew their business. Shots over trees in the middle of the fairway, elevated, tricky (and fast) greens add to the enjoyment of this 9-hole course. Definitely recommended for golfers that like a bit of a challenge on shorter holes. The greens and fairways are in excellent shape, and the overall course is very well maintained. For the price, this course is an unbeatable value.

"Best Kept Secret In Central VA"
Of all the courses I have played through out VA I would have to say this is one of the best kept secrets in Virginia. The greens are very fast but yet they hold very well. The vista's of the mountains on the back nine are breath taking. The #17 hole could one day be as comparable to one of the holes at Augusta or the TPC Sawgrass. Its and old club with alot of history set up in a beautiful historic town! If you can get your self and invitation to play it I would highly recommend it. Keep your head down and let it rip. Bill P.
