This is a well-maintained course. The signature hole is #15, a 470-yard, par 5, allowing the longer hitters to reach the green in two if they are willing to hit an approach shot over a lake that is positioned 100 yards in front of the green.

A great place to play golf, Feb 19, 2011 |

| There is always a game. You always have a tee time just ask to play in one of the many groups. There's groups almost daily (always on Friday, Sat and Sunday) with early tee times from 0730 -0850 am), then there's the afternoon groups teeing off at 12:30 (always on Friday, Sat and Sunday) just call in 30 minuts before tee time and ask to play in one of the groups. There's one thing that sets Oconee Country Club aside from others ... The staff and members are friendly and you won't find a course in the state that has bent grass greens maintained like this course. Sunday Brunch ( 10:30 -1430) "Best in town" Eat a great meal and play a round of golf. |

| Living in Mauldin, some 60 minutes away, I have several times played and always enjoyed OCC. A good test of golf with good greens and a fun layout. Not fancy but a good time with friendly people. |

Amazingly Maintained, Jan 15, 2007 |

| Oconee Country Club has done a great job with the little space they had. The course is a bit tightly laid out, but is still a great course. Water comes into play on 3 holes, and the rest of the course has tight fairways and well-bunkered greens. Due to this, you must be very accurate or you will be in the woods looking for your ball. The only downsides are the short range, and an older clubhouse. Overall, a great deal for the money. |

Accuracy a must, Mar 26, 2004 |

| This is not a boom it and chase it course. Few flat, open holes require accuracy over distance. Only a dated club house/locker facilities and 7-iron limited "warm-up" range keep this from being five stars. Be careful playing in the evening as you will be teeing off into the sun, makint it difficult to see where your ball went into the woods... |
