Nice course. Nothing spectacular. Expected more from rating and advertising. Nothing really distinguishes this course from any other in the Myrtle Beach Pawley's Island area. Ok maintenance, but again, not in really top shape. Played in May 2010.

a beautiful track.some very interesting holes.just don't go the last 2 weeks of september.they airated the greens and dumped a good half inch of sand on the greens.unplayable conditions.very disappointed .look forward to playing this course every year.

"Good greens"
The corse isn't extreamly long, but can pose a challenge from the back tees, especially for the mid-long hitters. It is well manicured, and the greens have a smooth, consistant roll.

Found this course a real enjoyment to play. The greens are fairly fast and challenging. Course was not overly difficult to walk. The layout was good. The back nine (9) has two par 5's back to back that will separate the 'men from the boys'. I played several days in a row and was accepted by the Men's club like a member. Looking forward to playing this course again this summer. Don't let its apperance fool you. This course is not flat..Play good course management.

"Better accurate than long"
Not a lot of distance required here, but you had better be accurate - both off the tee and on the approach. Beautiful setting inclduing occasional glimpses of the Ohio River; well maintained; friendly staff; beautiful clubhouse with excellent food. A real value.

Chantilly National Golf & Country Club
"Ball Striker's Course"
Chantilly is fairly open and forgiving -- wide fairways and large greens. But due to its length you cannot bump it around. Unless you play the women's or seniors tees, you actually need to HIT the ball to get around in a decent score. No sculling it off the tee and still having a decent shot at the green here. Even off the white tees, most players need to hit driver on 12 or 13 holes. The combination makes this rather traditional track a fair test. The turf conditions and greens are generally quite good. But the tee boxes could use work, and there are drainage problems on a few holes. This is not the most visually stunning track you will ever play. No dramatic dog legs or elevation changes. BUT it is a great walker's course. Fairly level, with greens and tees close together. Old style.
