This course is a mentally challenging course where you are forced to make hard descisions. Do I play it safe or go for it and which way should I go are questions you'll be asking yourself when you play this course. I strongly suggest this course to anyone who wants to improve their mental golf game.

"Review"
Inconsistent greens throughout and tee boxes from hell. The 12th tee grass is 6 inches tall all the time....please someone wake up. The range is closed to paying customers and open to members only. Big deal it's just a stupid field. If you want to play fun golf, go somewhere else.

"A great pitch-and-putt"
Although part of it will soon be bulldozed for a car dealership, I highly reccomend getting there while it's still a full 18 holes! Some holes are lacking in creativity, but quite a few give tricky shots over bunkers, mounded terrain, and alongside the Hockanum River. It's relatively affordable, and a fun way to kill an hour and a half or so.

Brushy Mountain Country Club
"Course in need of help"
I have played many courses in this area and this course was once at a very high level. Now it has greatly deminished. The fairways are ok at best, and the once prized greens are in lackluster condition. The work that has been done seems to be minimal in areas. This course still is very challenging, but has the potential to be alot greater than it is at this time.
