Although the course is somewhat short, it is quite a challenge for the average player. The fairways are narrow, some are lined with maturing trees and some are wide open. Water hazards do come into play on a few holes, and sand bunkers do come into play on eight holes. The small greens are sloped and very fast. A solid short game is the key to scoring well on this course.

THIS COURSE IS VERY DECIEVING, NOT LONG BUT YOU MUST KNOW HOW TO HIT EVERY THING FROM 150 YDS IN AND THEN MASTER THE GREENS. THE GREENS ARE WHAT MAKE THE COURSE, YOU MUST PUT YOUR SELF BELOW THE PIN OR FACE A VERY EASY THREE PUTT. THE STAFF IS EXCELLENT AND THE COURSE IS IN GREAT SHAPE. YOU MUST PLAY THIS IF YOUR IN WEST MICHIGAN AREA.

Highlands Ridge
"Hidden Gem"
Played South @ North Courses. South is short but challenging. Very enjoyable. Lots of character. Great condition. Flowers everywhere. North Course is a newly opened(2003) exceptional layout. Both courses are well worth the trip. You won't be disappointed.

Carper's Valley Golf Club
"local and enjoyable"
Although an older course it has improved with age and with the rainy season last year (2002) the greens are fuller. A range is available and I try to get the most of my short game with the putting green. The back nine brings you up next to the airport but the single engine planes are not loud and are enjoyable to watch landing as your partner tries to keep up your great shot.
