This course, located alongside the Marais River, is situated in a valley basin. Native cottonwood and poplar trees line the fairways, and the greens are extremely large and feature two separate flagstick placements, one for the front nine and one for the back nine. The signature hole is #5, a 581-yard, par 5, featuring a dogleg left fairway, and requiring an approach shot over a creek guarding the front of the green. In addition, a pond comes into play on hole #8. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

Marias Valley is great course that offers challenge after challenge. The large greens allow a golfer hitting it straight and long to score well. The landscape and veiw are magnificent. A course I will play again. Don't be surprised if you run in to a rattle snake during the dry season...enjoy this great challenge.

"Best of Ohio"
Sand Ridge is one of the best golf courses in the country. Even though greens are not all that fast they are always in perfect condition at all times of the year and the fairways are some of the best i have ever played from. "Challenging long holes & tremendously manicured"
This 18-holer had a great mix of long and short holes, challenging and intermediate greens. This course is in particularly good condition year after year for such hard winters. Besides for some of the grumpy old men who play the course, and think they own it and let you know it (standard, yet dieing breed of golf clientele for some courses), I have had several fantastic rounds on this course.

Sharon Golf Club, The
"The Sharon Golf Club - a real treat"
The Sharon Golf Club is located in beautiful Sharon, Ohio. The various trees lining the fairways frame a challenging championship course that is relaxing and fun to play. The pro, Dwight Axtell is a wonderful teacher, and utilizes video analysis into his lessons. Mr. Axtell's lessons are available to non-members, and will help players of any ability level.
