This well-maintained, very scenic course is bedded with many trees and has three beautiful lakes that bring out panoramic views. The elevated greens are large sized, fast, undulating and several are two tiered, while the semi tree-lined fairways are narrow width, flat and filled with moguls. The signature hole is #7, a 340-yard, par 4, which has a narrow landing area and an undulating green with a pond on the left and moguls on the right.

Enjoyable little getaway, Apr 01, 2004

This course is a very nice little course to play. It offers nine holes that can offer something from the high handicaper to the low one. The course is well maintained and looked after carefully from its superintendent. The greens are very nice to play on. I recommend stoping to play this peaceful and enjoyable course.

"Magnificent"
This course is quite enjoyable to play. While length is not much of a factor, it plays much tighter than it appears. It is a fun course, and one that will test your risk/reward skills. The course is well developed, and very hilly. I would suggest that you ride while playing this course as well. This course is one that I wouldn't mind playing any day of the week.

Augusta Golf Course
"A fun course for the price."
Augusta Municipal Golf Course, affectionately known as "The Cabbage Patch" certainly isn't in the same league as its "big brother" on Washington Road, or even some of the more expensive public courses (The River, Jones Creek) in the Augusta area. However, that doesn't mean it's not a fun (and at times, very challenging) course to play. Greens range from very forgiving early in spring to harsh and very tight in summer and mid-winter. Fairways are narrow enough to provide a challenge off the tee on most holes. Rough is punishing throughout the course - so do your best to keep your ball out of it! Course upkeep can leave something to be desired, especially on weekends in spring and early summer. Don't be put off by the course's short length - you'll still find plenty of opportunity to hit every club in the bag. However, the short length does make for a good chance to walk the course and save a few bucks. Be sure to call for a tee time first, expecially on the weekends. New renovations to the clubhouse and a WONDERFUL staff add to the enjoyment of playing this cheap, fun, popular course where dozens of kids, students, and beginning adults have gotten their first taste of the game.

Greystone Golf Club
"Best in the Tri-County Area"
Greystone Golf Club has been a home course to me for over six years. I have been impressed by its development and maturity over this time. The lay-out of the course is phenominal. Within a 20 mile radius of the club there are countless places to play, and Greystone is by far the most beautiful and challanging of them all. I have played alot of golf in South-East Michigan, this includeds public and private clubs, and Greystone is and always will be my #1 place to play. The motto is "The Best Finish In Michigan Golf", and how true it is. Why not 5 stars? Nothings perfect!
