This course was built on typically flat terrain, but there is some mounding that comes into play on a couple of holes. All the fairways are lined by trees and defined by a standard cut of rough. Water hazards come into play on four holes, and sand bunkers have been strategically placed in the layout. The slightly-sloped greens are small, somewhat firm and have average speed. The signature hole is #9, a 360-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a narrow fairway, then an approach shot to a green that slopes from back to front.

Stone Oak Country Club
"A beautiful midwest course worth playing"
This course looks timid on paper but watch out on the front nine. A couple of par 5's can really fool you by their degree of difficulty and a snowman is not uncommon on #6. The course is usually in immaculate shape with more hills on the back 9 that you would expect. The shortest par 3 I've ever played, #16 can be tricky even with the softest loft wedge. Overall this coursees beauty is in the top 10 in northwest ohio, and it is great fun to play given that you can find a member to take you out and enjoy it.

This course is the finnest course i have played on. If your looking for a challenge and some senery while your at it this is the course for you. With the somewhat more open fornt nine and the most closed back nine i have played on ever it provides a challenge to any golfer.

First course I played since getting into golf, played 11 times. Lots of hazards and had fun playing. Would still be there except 60 par can't help building my handycap. A little costly for a exec course and for a new golfer, for the same or less you can play full 72.

Wonderfull! - Grew up there, right next door - on Merrivale drive. (6, Merrivale drive to be exact!) - used to play army there! ( when I was a young soldier, - back in the '60s.) Well, I don't know about golf, but living next door to that BEAUTIFUL golfcourse was a memory I'll cherish forever!
