Located just outside Los Angeles, Lost Canyons Golf Club boasts two 18-hole courses: The Sky Course and The Shadow Course.Both courses are designed by Pete Dye, yet maintain distinctly different styles. The Sky Course meanders along the canyon ridge line and looks down on the Shadow Course which winds along the canyon floor.The Sky Course is a par 72 and measures 7,234 yards form the back tees. The Shadow Course tops out at 7,005 yards and plays to a par of 72.Forecaddies are included in the green fees, and will accompany golfers throughout the facility.

Don't miss this Pete Dye masterpiece, Jan 02, 2008

When asked about designing this golf course, Pete Dye said, "God made the layout for this course, I just put in tee boxes and greens." I would agree that this course was made by higher powers. The scenery is terrific, and the layout is masterful. But beware, it is a tough track and the greens can be murderously hard to read. If they are still available, take a forecaddie and heed their advice. If not, play your first round from the white tees and enjoy the round. You'll find yourself coming back to move back and get beaten up...

Challenging and beautiful, the Sky Course and also the Shadow Course are the most amazing courses I have ever played. If you are in the area do not miss this club! Well worth the money! The service from the proshop to the beverage carts is unmatched.

"Worth the trip"
This course is easily the best course I have played. It's on a par with Blackwolf Run and the other Kohler courses at a fraction of the price. This course has a spectacular setting. It winds up and around Iron Mountain, and is a marvel of course design. Despite the elevation changes, only one hole plays uphill. The holes are cut out of the mountain side and winding cart paths take you to the next level, and hole, until you reach numbers 9 and 17, both of which play straight downhill (as does 18, a 600 yard par five with 3 terraced fairways). The grooming is immaculate and each hole is separated from the others by woods or water. Even on a busy day it feels like you're the only golfers on the course. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course is nicely rangered. As you play the course, you will marvel both at the quality of the experience and the incredible engineering required during construction. Rates have been in the $50-60 range for the past several years and its the best golf bargain you can find. This is a course you could play every day and it would remain interesting. The fairways and greens compare with any PGA site. This is one not to miss.

Newnan Country Club
"Tough Layout"
Beautiful layout with a lot of elevation changes and fast, undulating greens. The course also winds through a lot of trees, mostly pines and oaks. First six holes are a real challenge. If you can survive these opening holes with a score that's just a few strokes over par, you may be able to recover by the end. The 15th hole is a monster from back tees, measuring almost 650 yards. Overall, bring every club in your bag.
