This fairly hilly course is located in what used to be an old apple orchard. The undulating greens are in good shape, and quite a few are multi-tiered. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on three holes, and sand bunkers have been well positioned throughout the course. The wind picks up every once in a while, making proper club selecting an important aspect of the game.

Simsbury farms is a fairly challenging course with a good number of hills. The greens and fairways are well kept and there are plenty of places you can get into trouble. The only reason that it would not get 5 stars is that there are lots of canadian geese and they poop everywhere.

Peaceful, Pleasant and plush, May 13, 2004

This is an exquisite public golf course. The people are nice and easy to get along with and the course is well maintained, and secluded. The only sounds are the sounds of nature. It is not the longest or the most challenging course, but there are some interesting holes, like number 11. ALthough the price has gone up in recent years, it is still a very economical day. One hint, if you have a big drive go at the green on 8 and for everyone, take an extra club on nine.
