This course is always kept in excellent condition. The front nine is longer than the back nine because the back nine was design to play through large estates. The greens are in great shape, and there are no sand bunkers anywhere on the course. Water hazards come into play on eight of the eighteen holes. Don't miss to the left on hole #11, a 305-yard, par 4, which has water down the left side from the tee to green. The finishing hole is also quite memorable. This 540-yard, par 5, features a severe dogleg left fairway with a canal crossing through the fairway twice.

| Yea this course isn't as great as most courses, but for the area it is in it is one of the best. Pinewood is not an amateur course, it has no room to miss a shot and they charge way too much considering they can never keep their greens in decent shape. Nobody wants to play oakharbor because it gets way too windy and it is also over priced. Royal Golf CLub is run by very intelligent indiviuals and is run in a proper manor. If you think you can run this golf course any better then please by all means I have all day to sit here and listen to what you have to say. At this point in time this golf course is in the best shape I have ever seen it. You can not play anywhere in the USA for this price at such a challenging but yet beautiful public course. |

| I worked there years ago back in 2000..The greens where the shiznit then and they are the shiznit now. Anyone who appreciates golf could enjoy a course like Royal Golf Club. Ya ole Gatlin is on the greedy side, but its all good. Had an old pal Gump the dog who chilled around for many years. Thursday night scrambels where always the bomb..waitin on the carts to come in to clean while relax havin a nice cold one.haha I would sell beef jerky around there to the guys who worked there and would get the hook up. I left there to work at Oak Harbor. Royal Golf Club...who dat who dat who dat..ya heard! |

| The greens are so bad it makes the experience of playing golf here horrible. The hole designs are good, but the greens make this golf course below average. Pinewood a shorter but still challenging course in Slidell kicks Royals ass. The greens are great and there is plenty of sand. Advice for Royal: Repair your greens and add some bunkers. |

| course and surrounds are as unkempt as any course in gulf souith, clubhose and bathroom facilities should be condemned. obviously this is a private owner running this place as a caattle farm, pure greed im sure |

| Played this course for the fist time and found it to be quite enjoyable. The greens were in good shape as were the fairways. Having played on a good amount of the public courses in the area, I'd say this one rates pretty well. |
