This course is located in the scenic Cascade foothills and offers breathtaking views of Mount Si. The course is easy enough for the beginning golfer, but challenging enough for the low handicapper. The design features wide fairways and greens that are medium in size and speed. The terrain is flat on the front nine and more hilly on the back nine. Water hazards only come into play on two holes, and there are very few sand bunkers in the design. Each of the tees are rated for both men and ladies. Early bird rates are also available.

Too much $$, Aug 29, 2007

Nice course, greens are in pretty good shape the view is spectacular, but the Greens fees for the course are way out of line, in particular the Junior rates of $27 during the week. It's a $34 weekend course at best, there is plenty of nicer courses in the area for less money.

I like to golf to get away: Enjoy the scenery, the green fairways and greens, the fresh air. This course has it in spades. A marvelous place to enjoy a relaxing game (not all that crowded) and experience the outdoors. The course is clean, fun, and fairly open so you don't lose a lot of balls.

We held our company tourney there July 2004. Fairwasy and greens were in good condition. Difficult to tell fairways from rough - they mow their rough pretty close to the same as their fairways. Biggest problem was that they put a group of 5 right in front of our tournament which slowed us down horribly! 5 1/2 hour round on one of the hottest, most humid days of the year. Restaurant is fantastic.

Silver Spring Country Club
"Silver Spoon"
I have played a total of 4 rounds as a guest at Silver Spring. This classic and traditional course is well-maintained with speedy greens that can have you on your knees in a hurry. Wonderful course to walk, even for those of us more inclined to ride. Beautiful woodland setting where deer seem to enjoy free range, even on the greens! (Hoof prints don't make for straight putts) Staff was courteous and friendly despite the blue blood atmosphere. Nice joint.

For a 3-Par, greens and fairways are well maintained despite the quantity of play. Surprising number of amenties such as; large putting green, practice sand and chipping areas. Great driving range adjacent to a full restaurant and bar. Friendly with no local attitude.

"Enjoyable and a bargain"
Rated this course at 4 stars primarily in relation to other military courses. Prices are typical military bargain, but the relatively light play here compared to NAS Jax makes this a real pleasure. I've mostly played here on weekdays and have never had to wait to start, and play is usually very fast. The design is pleasant to play for all skill levels. After your first round you'll look forward to your next round to take advantage of course knowledge. Fairway conditions usually are average and greens are normally very good. Fun par 3's and hidden challenges on many of the holes if you spray the ball. Long hitters don't have an unfair advantage...premium is on accuracy.
