A course to gain good experience, May 11, 2005

The wide open fairways help the person with a slice or hook. Each hole has it's own unique hill angles from the tee to the green. Not being a flat course really challenges your game on what club to be using. The size of the 9 hole course is big enough to put 18 holes on so this course is a good size 9 hole. I recommend checking the course out for your-self, the worst that could happen is that you were able to do what you went out for anyways... Play Golf... White sand, in my opinion, makes any golf course look dramatically acceptable-this would be about the only thing that I would like to see at this course different.

Cobblestone Golf Course
"Great layout"
This course has it all! Some very challenging holes, as well as a few tameable ones. The holes vary, some are flat and others have rising or falling terrain. Most fairways have some undulation. The scenery is serene, especially the holes near Lake Acworth. If you haven't played here, you are missing out on a GA treasure.

"One of the better ones around"
Nicely maintained, well conditioned course. A little short from the whites, and perhaps a little long from the championship tees for the average golfer. Water comes into play on many holes, as does out of bounds. Greens are medium sized and fairly flat, but several have devilish breaks. Holes seven and eight can make or break your round, and when playing into the wind, the eighteenth is as tough a finishing hole as there is in the area. There has been talk about going private for several years, but it appears as if it will happen sometime in 2004, so if you have the opportunity to play, do it soon!!

This course is now fairly well maintained. Not so in the recent past. I have played it 20+ times in the last 2 years. It�s as good now as I have ever seen it.
