| Tara Greens looks and plays like a neglected cow pasture. If you like to trek through discarded beer cans, muddy swamps and goose poo and play on fairways as brown and dry as beef jerky , then this is the place for you. The course is full of drunken hacks and the 'pro' shop smells like cat urine. The 9 hole pitch and putt is a nice option if you want to work on your short game, but if you want to play a real round of golf , save your money. Tiger Woods PGA for XBox is a more true to life golf experience than this emerald spray painted scrap yard. |

Can't beat the price, Jul 21, 2005 |

| It's not the most beautiful course I've played, but at just $17 on weekdays, you can't beat it. Most holes are straight and relatively open, with one exception. The par-5 6th is a difficult dogleg left that challenges long hitters to drive over 300 yards and straight, or the rest of us to lay up and play a tough 2nd shot. The course's upkeep has improved and it is looking much better as of late. |

Most unsatisfactory golf course I've ever played, Aug 21, 2004 |

| Although the price is reasonable the course is not at all. The length and difficulty is very good, however, the design of the course leaves somehting left to be desired. There is no rough, and the fairways' grass length is somewhere between a true golf course's fairway and rough. Also, the course seeemed to be under construction but in actuality was just in poor shape. Finally, the customer service and most other players were rude and inconsiderate. I would not recommend this course to any golfer looking for a fun outing. |

A reasonable place to practice and play, Apr 07, 2004 |

| Tara Greens has some of everything--as indicated in its website and information. Fitting everything into a confined space results in some odd layouts. The 9-hole course has no spectacular holes, but the price is so reasonable that the combination cannot really be beat for a good practice workout in mid-New Jersey. |
