This course was built on rolling hills, so expect many uneven lies. Locals believe the tees and greens are the largest in the Midwest. Some of the undulating greens are elevated and well bunkered, and water hazards come into play on eight holes. The wind is also a factor on this course, so be wary when making club selections. Also, be prepared to encounter an unusual number of blind shots.

I have recently played the course and as early in the year as it is this course was in great condition. They even have personal GPS systems in each cart which allows you to see how far it is to the pin and you can even order your lunch at the turn. Over all I rate it about a 3 or 4.

Bass Rocks Golf Club
"A Classic golf Course"
Bass Rocks in my opinion is an ideal kind of golf course. Every time you play is different. The winds off the ocean can be a help at times. However, other times it can play havoc with your game. The course forces you to play almost every kind of shot there is. From high flops to knock downs, it will test your game. The staff is second to none. Friendly and always willing to offer a tip or two that will help make your round more enjoyable. The members make you feel right at home. Like they have known you for years, even if you just met. In my personal opinion, every town should have a club like Bass Rocks.
