This course follows the natural contour of the landscape, and local players say the greens are better than those at some nearby country clubs. The fairways average 200 feet in width, but there are trees strategically placed in several areas. Water hazards come into play on two holes. The most challenging hole is #4, a 330-yard, par 4, requiring an uphill tee shot. The last eighty yards are very steep, and the square-shaped green is not visible from your approach area. The ladies' tee off from the same set as the men.

A friend of mine just started playing and she was very relaxed learning to play on this course. The staff is friendly and helpful. Very Open course, bring many balls if you hook your ball. Love golfing here! LI NY

This course is VERY open. This is a great place to practice your iron shots. For me, I can go to this course and leave the woods at home. Red Maples has a pleasing setting and is fairly well maintained, although it is a short course. I have been taking my wife to this course so she can learn to play golf in an easy going atmosphere with no one pushing us. She can drop two or three balls and practice as we go. I would recommend this course to any beginner.

Giles Country Club
"Nice course for budget"
I think the golf course is in outstanding shape. The grass is green,pretty good for this time of year! The superintendant is a nice guy. His employee is a nice guy. They get the job done! The employees at the clubhouse are hardworkers too. The only backfall I see is, they need more members. Somebody told me they have lossed alot of members. Hopefully they will try to recruit some members this year. If anybody reads this come on over to the country club its an outstanding place to golf,associate, play cards,and have a good time with friends and family. And need to open the ballroom for some events, make a little cash! Everbody is easy to get along with. Giles Country Club does pretty good for the budget they have.

"Nice Course tough lies"
When you play this course be prepared to have a hilly lie on most fairway shots, especially on the back nine. The undulation is remarkable and this course gives an average player a run for his/her money. Mid summer the greens can be unforgiving, but still playable with corect club selection. Altogether a course well manicured and the added bonus of having a complete opposite feeling when playing the front nine and the second nine.
