| Great views, a beautiful design and in great shape. As on any Donald Ross design, do not miss long or to the short side. The course fits in with the land naturally, as though Mother Nature meant the course to be there. Greens are quick and smooth with good contouring. You will need to hit the fairways off the tee to have any chance of shooting a good score. The rough and the fescue will cause problems for those who stray from the fairway. From the first tee shot to the final putt you will need to focus solely on the shot at hand or else a big score could be in your immediate future. All of the holes are great, but the 18th is probably the toughest. This hole plays 445 yards, slightly uphill with a stream down the right and fescue to the left, to a small two-tiered green. Bring your entire repertoire when you play here, it’s a very solid gold course from start to finish. A must play!! |
