This hilly course features a brook flowing though six of its nine holes. Some fairways have thick tree lines, while others are wide open. The large greens are undulating, elevated, surrounded by mounds, and well bunkered. The signature hole is #4, a 175-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to an island green.

| Southampton is a decent track in W. Mass. A good bargain, it is a family owned course that is always in good shape. A somewhat challenging course for the high handicapper, it is a popular course for locals. Course knowledge goes a long way, especially on 10 (very steep green, keep it below the hole!) and 11, a par 5 that winds around a hillside where placement is key, especially with the mid-iron second shot. All in all, a pretty good course. |
