This course has medium-sized greens and tree-lined fairways that are somewhat wide open. Water hazards (three lakes and a river) come into play on a number of holes. The most difficult hole is #11, a 400-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot over a canyon, then an uphill approach shot to a well-bunkered green. Junior and senior discounts are only available on weekdays.

Ive played wandermere countless times over the past 15 years. I will be joining their mens club next week (45$). Thing about the course that stands out the most would have to be the speed and condition of the greens. Within a month of the course opening, the greens are far faster then any in the county (outside of the spokane country club a manito c.c.). Not only that you can expect about the same speed on 80% of the greens. My recommendation would be for the average golfer to play from the blue tees as it adds enough length to the course to make it much more difficult then if one was to play from the white, or red tees. The course does have water that comes into play on enough holes to make there mark on bad teeshots, that have gone astray. The drawbacks to this course are very few. The length of the course has been a issue with people that I have played with in the past (play from the blues seems to cure that). The bunkers are full of local pacific northwest sand not the finer grade silica sand which takes away from the eye appeal of the bunkered holes. The course does not have a driving range, as it has been removed, with the land being made ready for real estate development. Other then those few things, the course itself is a great place to play 9 or 18 holes. You cant beat the price in comparison to the other local courses as it is much the same cost, yet the condition of the greens and tees are a bit better then those other courses. The people you find in the pro shop are great, and have the utmost courtesy for those whom seek play on there course. I hope any of you players that are here in spokane visiting, or native to the area, try this course as you wont be disapointed.
