This course was built on what used to be farmland. The fairways are wide open, and the slightly-sloped greens are small. Water hazards (ponds and a creek) come into play on four holes. The most difficult hole is #2, a 462-yard, par 5, featuring a creek flowing the full length of the fairway and a fifty-five yard lake looming in front of the green.

This course could never be mistaken for a high class course, but for the money I do not believe that it can be beat.. Its a very good course for that quick after work round or for early season practice rounds.

"Best Kept Secret In Central VA"
Of all the courses I have played through out VA I would have to say this is one of the best kept secrets in Virginia. The greens are very fast but yet they hold very well. The vista's of the mountains on the back nine are breath taking. The #17 hole could one day be as comparable to one of the holes at Augusta or the TPC Sawgrass. Its and old club with alot of history set up in a beautiful historic town! If you can get your self and invitation to play it I would highly recommend it. Keep your head down and let it rip. Bill P.

Welcome to the new Miacomet!! Complete with 9 new golf holes capturing the essence of links golf. This Massachusetts island has a new name in public golf. This new layout if the wind is blowing is going to be a real challenge. The elevated tees give you a great look at fairway and positioning. The trick is to hit it there with the accuracy needed to conquer a 20 to 30 mile an hour wind. The golf staff were very professional in the running of the shop. Superb lessons provided by Mike's staff. State of the art lessons with Rob. Fantastic!! Bill Affinito's group are learning the paths and new roads that service the new course. Great job. And the new general manager, Alan Costa, fantastic, hard working, creative. The food service is top notch. come try the new course on Nantucket.

Carroll Park Golf Course
"cheap"
This is a decent golf course and for the money you cant beat it. The grass is alright and the greens may vary and there are water filled bumps with some small holes. The main problem is location but besides that it is a nice course.
