Basically with Deer Lake you have a course that is challenging for the upper level players and yet still maintains plenty of opportunity for learning and fun for beginners. The clubhouse staff are very friendly and more than willing to spend a little time with you. They have a snack shack for the holes on the other side of the highway, and it is a definite must play for all golf fans.

This is a nice course that has some very challenging holes. The carts are equipped with GPS and maps for each hole. The course also has it's own self-proclaimed "Amen Corner". There are doglegs and hazards on almost every hole so watch out.

"Scenic and challenging"
This is a beautiful and well designed course. The course can prove to be challenging for both the beginner and scratch golfer alike. The high grass that seperates some of the holes can be frustrating, so you would be well advised to keep to the left on such holes. During the fall the greens are usually riddled with leaves and twigs so spring and summer would be your best bet. The developer did an excellent job incorporating the natural surroundings into the course. With a tee off the top of a ridge on hole one, to the natural rocks that appear throughout the course, Greystone Golf Club in Dickson is sure to give you the feeling of connecting with nature as you connect with your ball.

Champion Hills Golf Club
"Champion Hills - great place to play or to live"
The course is spectacular, both in scenery and in the variety of play that can be had -- from novice to expert. Tom Fasio did a great job, using natural elements beautifully. Watch out for the 4" rough! It is lush and can eat your balls so magically that they can NOT be found. Course management is excellent. Hazards are well maintained as are the fairways and greens. Most of the T-boxes are elevated and the views in the valleys include small waterfalls, hardwoods, mountain laurel and rhododendron covered hills with mountain vistas all around. The clubhouse offers wonderful sunsets and terrific food. Excellent additional amenities like a health club, tennis, practice areas. VERY nice bungalos for lease, nearby B&B, charming small town. Close to Asheville, Biltmore House, Grandfather Mountain, Greenville/Spartanburg airport, Appalachian Trail... We really love this area and this particular course.

Clear Creek Golf Club
"Best Par 3 Course Ever"
It really makes you work on your short game. If you need help with your wedges this is the place to be. There are some really long par 3 holes up to 200 yards. It is deep in the woods and has some narrow fairways. I give it 5 stars for being challenging and fun.

"When you need to play, you need to play"
This course is not very hard or long. The maintnance could use some help. When it comes down to it, its all about cost. This course is cheap and not usally too busy.
