| Hickory Hills is what many in the Ozarks would consider the most difficult golf course in the region. I agree with that 100%. Hickory is a U.S. Open type caliber golf course. Many State amature tournaments are held here. Trees are every where and you must hit accurate tee shots in order to score. If you come to Hickory with a Handicap of 3, expect to come out of there off of you average by 10-12 strokes. There is no other way of describing this course other than saying it is difficlut. You will enjoy the views and the plush well cared for greens and fairways. |

| I have grown up visitng my grandparents in Springfield and playing golf with my grandpa at Hickory Hills Country Club. I have many memories of learning to play on its 18 holes. For the uneducated, this is a very old and historic course in the Ozarks. It is also where the late Payne Stuart grew up. Sure, there might be newer and flashier courses, but HH is a very good and challenging course with a family feel and warmth to it. |
