This course was built alongside the Missouri River and is very scenic. There are two creeks that come into play on a couple holes, and the wind is constantly a factor, making proper club selection one of the most important aspects of the game. "South Dakota Golf" rated this course as the 2nd best nine hole course in the state.

A fun place to play, May 04, 2010 |

| Springfield Golf Club is a fun and playable course for all skill levels. Very easy to walk on to play. The club house over looks the Missouri river as does much of the course. The course features 3 sand traps and a creek that comes into play on two holes and the Missouri comes into play on 3 more holes. This course will challenge any player. |

I think one of the best courses in the state, Oct 15, 2005 |

| I live 20 miles from this course and did belong to tyndall south dakota's course until I played Springfields. There course is so well taken care of(unlike tyndalls) and it is a beautiful course. I am a very serious golfer and want to go pro someday and this is the perfect course for me because it is very hard and tricky to play so it is more practice for me. Now I belong to Springfields course and will never belong to tyndalls again. |

Dakota's Pebble Beach, Feb 07, 2004 |

| One would hardly expect to find a gem like the Springfield Golf Club in this rural setting in an agricultural state such as South Dakota. This course demands your best game with keeping the ball in the fairway a premium. Although not a long course, the long hitter does not have a major advantage. Tree-lined fairways are expertly maintained and the greens are challenging. All of this quality golf is accompanied by some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. The course is built on bluffs overlooking Lewis and Clark Lake and the view from every tee is extraordinary. This wonderful nine hole golf course has earned the right to be called Dakota's Pebble Beach. |
