There is a New Professional at the club. Josh Tremblay and his staff have changed the perception of the club with their friendly and hard working mentality. No more are the days of Quin Sullivan.

Club Pro Quin Sullivan is extremely rude. He has the typical "country club mentality" that unfortunately is common at these types of places.

The course looks easy from a review of the score card and a quick glance down the 1st & 18th fairways (visable from the clubhouse patio). What a surprise!! The fairway bunkers and hazards seem to fall in the same place as most tee shots. The greens are large but FAST. If you're on the wrong side of the hole a 4 putt is a real possiblilty!! The staff is friendly and the course is in perfect condition.

The fairways here are nice, the greens protect the course and make it extraordinarily challenging. It doesn't play long but you have to be a good iron player to shoot anywhere in the 70's.

This course is quite enjoyable to play. While length is not much of a factor, it plays much tighter than it appears. It is a fun course, and one that will test your risk/reward skills. The course is well developed, and very hilly. I would suggest that you ride while playing this course as well. This course is one that I wouldn't mind playing any day of the week.

"Dakota's Pebble Beach"
One would hardly expect to find a gem like the Springfield Golf Club in this rural setting in an agricultural state such as South Dakota. This course demands your best game with keeping the ball in the fairway a premium. Although not a long course, the long hitter does not have a major advantage. Tree-lined fairways are expertly maintained and the greens are challenging. All of this quality golf is accompanied by some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. The course is built on bluffs overlooking Lewis and Clark Lake and the view from every tee is extraordinary. This wonderful nine hole golf course has earned the right to be called Dakota's Pebble Beach.
