This is a tree-lined course with very narrow fairways. The greens are difficult to read because of their speeds and varying undulations. Water hazards (creeks and ponds) come into play on a number of holes, and numerous sand bunkers are spread throughout the course. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 8th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996.

i am from southern california and have played a few different courses out here and have seen dozens more. its always exciting to come back to provo and be able to go to nearby hobble creek golf course to play!!! definitely the most beautiful and serene course i have ever played. i love it and always look forward to the next time i am able to knock around a little ball on grass surrounded by tall trees and mountains everywhere!!!!! thanks for letting me play at hobble creek!!!

Hobble Creek is the best public course I've ever played and I've played more than a few. The scenery is awesome. Spend the night in the canyon and play more than one day!

Pines Par 3 Golf Course
"Pines Par 3"
This course is just a ball to play. Yes they are only par 3's with the longest being 90yards but this is still a great course to work on your short game. It has done wonders for mine. This course is also a great place to get the kids started on golf. Friendly atmosphere. On Monday Nights they have a Golf Tournament entry fee is about $15, including the hole-in-one pool.

"Declining conditions"
Having played this course over the last ten years, I can't help but be dismayed by the declining conditions. It is a classic course that was consistently enjoyable until the last two years. In this time, the course condition, length of rounds and restaurant amenities have all gone downhill. I hope that they can turn this around because it is no longer worth the greens fee that they charge.
