This well-maintained course has an extremely challenging back nine. The fairways are wide open, and the large greens are undulating. This course doesn't have any water hazards, and the sand bunkers rarely come into play. Tee times are only reserved for weekends; you may make your tee time reservations by calling (914) 889-3126. The seniors discount rate is only for New York State residents.

Take the Cart for 18!, Aug 11, 2006

Nice easy front 9 and very walkable. The back is a much more difficult test of golf and endurance if you are walking. Would say overall a good value for the price you pay. Conditions are acceptable for what the course is.

I really like this course. I am new to golfing and the wide open fairways help a slicer like myself. I have always found Dinsmore to be a nice course. It can be challenging in places but overall it is one of my favorites.

Some areas on the fairway have brown grass, but other than that this is an enjoyable, and challenging golf course.

Riverside Golf Course
"I love Riverside"

For a fast round of 9-holes this course is very enjoyable, and actually quite challenging. The greens are all in good condition throught the year, and so are the fairways. Par 3's range from 90-yards to 205-yards, and the par 4s are long enough where you can hit driver and/or 3-wood. Wonderful practice putting green surrounding water and driving range is also nice. For the price and convenience of walking on without a long wait, it's a winner in my book.

Sharp Park Golf Course
"Great Value ."
Sharp Park is a city owned course. Extremly reasonable rates. Twilight rate in the summer is about $5.00!!! What a value. It's an older course, fairly flat, easily walked, although carts are available. Several years ago the course was redesigned. Several holes were lengthened, a beautiful pond was added. It only comes into play on one hole and only on the mens tees. Due to the reasonable rates, the course has players of all skill levels.

"Fiarways and greens"
Tha't what it takes to score well on this course. While there are a few places where you can recover from a shot out to the right, for the most part you must stay on the fairway and hit the tiny greens to score well here.
