This course was built on rolling terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies. The greens vary in size and speed, and water hazards come into play on a couple of holes. The signature hole is #9, a 187-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a lake to a green that rests below the clubhouse. This course is unique in that the clubhouse is located in Stamford, CT, while most of the course is actually in the State of New York.

Rockrimmon: In Perfect Shape..., Nov 03, 2008

I was fortunate to play this course many times. First, you need a member to play since this is a private club. More importantly, what struck me about this course was that it is virtually empty during the week. It seems the membership are older and do not use the course unless the weather is perfect. More importantly, it is an intermediate course that is always in perfect shape. Fairways are flat and no hole is overly long. A pleasure to play, particularly for the 15 to 25 handicap golfer.

Fabulous Parkland layout which requires many different clubs in the bag. Greens are undulating, fast and vary in size. Course is in fantastic condition with many trees lining fairways. RTJ design is typical with punishing bunkers and hills that provide extra thought on club selection. A real treat.

Nicest course in CT, Apr 02, 2004

Nessled in the woods in North Stamford, the course is very well maintained. Lots of hills, moderate amount of hazards and two water holes. Great clubhouse, good food and beautiful landscaping.
