This course has well-maintained greens and fairways. This terrain varies from hole to hole, but most of the fairways are wide open. There is one elevated green on hole #6, and most are well-protected by sand bunkers. The signature hole is #13, a 502-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot onto a dogleg right fairway. The greens fees indicated are for county residents. Out-of-county residents cannot play the course on weekends. The weekday green fee rate is approximately twice the county residents' rate. One and two-day golf schools are available for full swing or short-game instruction.

| This is a course I have played for 20 years. I recently moved to California, and I must say that I miss Sterling. This course is a thinking golfers course. Rookies may get cockey and think it is short and easy, but let's see them par the 12th hole. Great course, always great condition. A+++++ course |

| When I visit relatives in Stamford I always make it a point to play this course. It's not an overly long course, but each hole is so different and varied you have to bring your whole game. The course is deceiving. Finishing the front nine under 35 is a challenge in itself. Although the back nine may look easier, you had better be playing your smart game. Anyone finishing this course at par deserves a free drink at the "10th Hole." |
