A good muni, Mar 07, 2011
reviewer: DCAT from Medford, MA
There are some challenging holes on this course (most notably #1 & #7) and some long par 4's (#5, #7, #9). The greens are usually in good shape but are not particularly challenging (#8 is probably the hardest). There are at least 4 blind shots where you need to be sure you know where the people in front of you are (#2, #3, #6, #9), not only that, the holes are generally close together so make sure you yell "FORE" - and heed it when someone else does! It can take up to 3 hours to play the nine holes when the course is crowded. This is not a course where you are likely to lose a lot of balls.

Good, but price is getting too high, Apr 04, 2006
reviewer: Ben from Melrose, MA
This is a great course at $19 for 9 holes but if it goes any higher, stay away. The staff is friendly but the waits on certain tees are long: stay away late on weekday afternoons in the summer unless you want to spend 4 hours playing 9 holes.

Don't Bother, Unless it's free, Jun 22, 2004
reviewer: James from Woburn , MA
What a joke this place is. After 2.5 hrs , was only on the 5th hole. Multiple groups waiting at every tee. If you want to pay and waist 5 hrs on 9 holes, go here. If you want an enjoyable game of golf, with a fairly good pace, stay away. I will never play their again.

Unicorn Golf Course, Feb 21, 2004

Unicorn GC in Stoneham MA, is a quality course for the weekend golfer as well as Low Handicapper. Rolling fairways and some hills provides the best blend of fun and challenge to all levels of golfers. I would highly recommend a day at Unicorn.
