Oakbrook Golf Course
3 Miles E of Jonestown off Route 30Stoystown, PA 15563
Phone: (814)629-5892
This is a well-manicured course with large greens and tees. The fairways are average in size and the rough is cut short. The course is located in the Laurel Mountains, so the wind will be a factor.

I live in Texas and I visit the area at least one time a year to play golf with my brothers. This is one course I insist on playing.

Jennerstown ... not Jonestown, Apr 12, 2008 |

The heading states the course is 3 miles east of Jonestown on Rt. 30. It's 3 miles east of Jennerstown. There is also a Johnstown north on Rt. 219. The turnoff is at the top of a hill at a manufacturing company. Perhaps this will help a non-local. Overall, a good place to get out and play a round.

You won't be abused by this layout and you'll love the greens. It's a walkable course. The back 9 has more shade. You won't be rushed by the staff or locals, especially after the morning rush. The women's and senior tees don't offer much advantage, but it's still friendly. Carry a drink, there aren't any drink carts.

The course isn't the most challenging or the most scenic course I have ever played on, but its definately a decent course for the average player who wants to enjoy a day of golf in a beautiful surrounding. There are 2 3-pars over water. This is an 18 hole course with a pro shop and small eating facility.
