With no blind spots and no parallel fairways, this new course is considered perhaps the fairest design in this part of North Carolina. The tree-lined fairways and rolling terrain are met by large and fast greens. Their boldly distinctive signature hole is #16, a 187-yard, par 3, which plays over a marshy area and needs to clear a four foot wooden wall that protects the front of the green. This golf club began selling limited memberships in April of 1997.

WINNER, May 18, 2011

This course is the best around. I know they had to cut corners because of the economy, so I was really amazed at what great shape the course was in when I played. Great staff and manager!! Best Wishes to the owner!! I'm sure it's been tough, but just want you to know it is greatly appreciated!

THE BEST, Sep 29, 2010
reviewer: Jack from Greensboro, NC USA
This course is the best around, hands down. The owner and staff have managed to keep this course in great condition despite financial woes. Considering golf courses are closing all around,GSO National has managed to keep their head above water and keep the doors open!!! WOW!! Keep up the good work!!

Nice Course but worthless management and owner, Jul 25, 2010
reviewer: Joe Jenkins from Oak Ridge, NC
The course is great, but the guy that owns the place ( I think his name is Titus Plummiass) is a real racist dork! He knows nothing about good client relations, the rounds are far too expensive for the value , the greens are being maintained but the rest of the place looks like a trailer park! ( Lots of weeds and overgrown grass) The best thing that can happen at GSO Nat'l Golf Club is that someone saves this poor S.O.B from bankruptcy so someone that is competent can finally get in there and run the place the way an alleged "Five Star" golf club should be run. This liitle man is running the place in the ground.

Management, Feb 23, 2009
reviewer: Littleman from Greensboro, NC USA
I found the staff on site & on the phone to be arrongant and less than cordial in dealing with my event. I will never return. It is a real shame since the course is so nice, I fear that the owner and management will not be all that it could be.

Put it on your "must play" list, Sep 26, 2005
reviewer: Brad from Greenwood, SC
I'm from Greensboro but live in SC now. Everytime I return to visit, this course is on my list to play. Very fair course and usually in good condition. I just wish they would back off about $10 on the greens fee to keep them comparable with other courses in the area.

Awesome, Apr 16, 2004
reviewer: Arby the duffer from NC
A truly enjoyable facility with a wonderful staff and magnificent track. A very fair course, penalties for bad shots, but the penalty is not usually death, just a stroke. Lots of well-placed water and tricky greens. Can be a monster if played from the back tees. The wind can make club selection tough. The course is well maintained and beautiful.
