The greens on the course have recently been completely renovated and redesigned by noted architect Charles Ankrom. There is one lake and one canal that come into play on some holes. The most distinctive feature on this course is its northern style with many trees. The course's advertising says it's "A Northern style course with Southern hospitality."

Friendly and Playable, Sep 04, 2005 |

| Sunrise CC is a very playable course that makes for an enjoyable golf outing with friends For the most part, there are no surprises on this course. Most of the par four and par five holes offer generous fairways and have very little rough. The par three’s are the course’s worst feature. They are uninspired. Most of the holes have some bunkers around the greens, but these are not particularly difficult to negotiate. There is some water in play to catch the occasional stray shot on a few holes, but not enough to call it menacing at any time. At just under 6700 yards from the gold tees, the course defends itself with length. Even from the blue tees (6362), some of the holes seem quite long, especially in the blustery Florida winds. The course lies down from the white tees that play under 6000 yards. The facilities at Sunrise CC are comfortable, but not luxurious. The staff is very friendly, and the cost for a round of golf is very reasonable. |

| The greens have just been double cut and putt very true. No cart beverage cart on course so bring your on refreshments. The 18th hole is atypical of the whole track...long!!! |

| The course is reasonably priced, and managed. The greens still are not in good shape. The fairways are mediocre right now. |

Challenging and Affordable, Mar 18, 2004 |

| Very nice course that has been well maintained over the years. Not too many picturesque holes on the track but several holes will challenge even the lower handicapped players. The staff is colorful and helpful. They need a kitchen but manage to soothe the beast with some pre-made sandwiches and well timed beverages. All in all......a very pleasurable experience. |
