This hilly course is very challenging because of all the water hazards, trees, and sand bunkers incorporated into its design. The signature holes are #1, a 275-yard, par 4, with hills, water and sand bunkers in play, and #8, a 240-yard, par 3, requiring a long tee shot over a creek to the green. William Diddel designed the back nine and redesigned the existing holes in 1927. This lakeside resort does not have a hotel or any overnight facilities. The Golf Academy is located on the premises. "A true hidden jewel"
If you ever get a chance to play this course then do it. It's longer than you think it is and it is a very tough course. The course is kept in excellent shape and the weekday cost to play is very reasonable. The membership cost is also very reasonable for someone who is looking for a moderately priced country club.

Played this course a couple of times last visit to area. Was always use to paying $70 plus at other courses. Was surprised and enjoyed this course. It just goes to show that you don't have to spend big bucks to enjoy a round of golf. Will be playing this course again when I come down this spring.

Simply the best in worst greens, worst drainage and highest price! Can't be beat! Course maintenance? What the hell is that? It's not need here, cause crabgrass takes care of itself both on and off the greens.

"Great course for the aveage golfer"
This is a first rate facility for any golfer. A great putting green and practice area. The course is an intersting yet very playable for the average golfer and a challange from the tips for the better player. Good tee shots are a must. You can get into trouble with an errant tee shot on some of the holes. The greens are interesting. Some are multi layered and were in great condition the last time I played there.
