This stadium-style course can be treacherous because of the dense woods and wetlands incorporated into its design. This course was built on hilly terrain and features several lakes coming into play. The back nine's fairways are narrower than the front nine's because they are lined with more trees. The signature hole is #17, a 201-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over water to a peninsula green. For automated tee time reservations, please call (313) 295-0506.

A beautiful piece of earth!, Feb 19, 2005 |

| Lakes of Taylor would easily be deemed worthy of private membership were it to be placed in most any upscale community. I am not ripping on Taylor (or any SE Mi community). It is just that those responsible for "Lakes" coming to be spared no expense in bringing this fantastic course to Taylor. Arthur Hills (Toledo, OH) designed Lakes of Taylor, and he did a magnificent job. Many of it's holes have a stadium-style design. Some holes are simple in design and play, while others boldly display their difficulty, of which you will experience in finding the green. And after playing the course, holes such as #17 will stick in your head, beckoning for your return and retest of where you erred. This course is very different from any other daily-fee course in this part of Michigan. Play it. Experience it. I doubt you will be dissapointed. |

Did you say that this is a municipal course????, May 12, 2004 |

| WOW. This course and the facilities are top notch. Hard to believe that this is actually a municipal golf course! Every bit of this course is beautiful. It has many lakes, several tree lined fairways, a signature peninsula hole, and several holes cut into strategically laid out hills. Arthur Hills did a fine job on this one. |
